Stress Relieving Heat Treatment

Stress Relieving Heat Treatment

The primary purpose of the stress relieving process is to reduce residual stresses absorbed by material during the forming, machining or welding operations. The process consists of heating metal parts to the temperature in the range of 400’ to 1300’ F and cooling to the room temperature.
There is no phase transformation during this process. We have two types of furnaces to perform this operation: continuous and batch.
